Position Summary

Jet Aviation Basel is seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our innovative team for a 6-month assignment focused on developing advanced AI solutions for aircraft cabin control. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of a next-generation voice assistant, working alongside our AI team and specialists in In-Flight Entertainment and Cabin Management Systems.

Your Role

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance aircraft cabin control systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and integrate AI models into existing platforms.
• Develop and optimize a voice assistant tailored for the aircraft cabin environment.
• Evaluate and deploy AI models both on cloud platforms (Azure) and, most importantly, on local hosting environments.
• Test and present developed solutions on a full-scale (1:1) aircraft cabin mockup, gaining hands-on experience and direct feedback.
• Stay up to date with the latest advances in AI, voice assistants, and related technologies, and proactively bring new ideas to the team.
• Apply and advocate for software development best practices and software craftsmanship throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Profile

• Demonstrated experience in hosting AI solutions locally is essential.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience or coursework in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or natural language processing.
• Deep curiosity and a drive to stay informed about the latest developments in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and voice assistant technologies.
• Interest in software development best practices and software craftsmanship.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation.
• Nice to have: Interest in Test Driven Development (TDD) & Familiarity with cloud-based AI model deployment (preferably Azure).
