Rainwater Services is a small but growing irrigation specialty contractor with a strong focus on exceptional customer service. Approximately 75% of our customer base is residential. The successful candidate will strive to achieve 110% customer satisfaction.
We are currently seeking an Irrigation Technician to support a crew leader who is responsible for all phases of installation, repairs and maintenance of irrigation sprinklers and landscape drainage systems. The Irrigation Technician will work closely with the crew leader to install, repair, service and maintain Irrigation and Landscape Drainage systems. It is expected that the candidate will be able to effectively learn the company's processes to support the core operations.

Responsibilities and Duties
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work safely
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor

- Support operations to successfully execute all phases of irrigation and drainage installation, repairs and service
- Assist and learn from the crew leader to repair, service and maintain irrigation system components including sprinkler heads, drip tubing, controllers, valves, pump, filters, etc
- Learn and utilize the company's job management software app
- Learn and follow procedures to safely operate equipment and vehicles
- Digging, trench backfilling and site grading
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment, including vehicles, trailers tools and trenching equipment as directed
- Maintain parts inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and tools
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in local seasonal weather conditions (especially hot, humid and rainy summers)
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds as required
- Must be capable of repetitive and extensive manual digging, shoveling and raking
- Must be able to stand, walk and crouch for long periods of time
- Other requirements that may be expected for operating within the physical demands of the outdoor coastal central Florida climate
Work Schedule
- Summer (April - September): Full-time M-F, with some overtime, after hours and periodic weekend calls expected
- Off-season (October-March): full time with flexible scheduling
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven track record of exceptional customer service
- Previous experience in the irrigation or landscape fields
- Industry-specific Certifications and training coursework (Hunter, Rainbird, etc) are desirable
- Experience towing double axle trailers is a plus but not required
- Experience operating light construction equipment, including trenchers, mini excavators, etc is a plus but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must provide and maintain a valid Drivers License
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Background Check

This is a full-time position with opportunity for advancement. Compensation is commensurate with experience. 2 weeks paid vacation during the off-season will be provided. Matching retirement plan available.
