It Administrator

• 
  The IT Administrator should be able to check all the network switches, hubs, routers, modems, firewall, cables and other devices used for the Company’s local area network, communication systems, security, and internet access, and ensure that all these are working under optimal performance.
• 
  Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• 
  Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
• 
  Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor(s).
• 
  Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
• 
  Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.
• 
  Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
• 
  Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.
• 
  Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• 
  Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential, and develops policies and capabilities for the Company’s compliance with all laws and regulations on data privacy, including Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) and its implementing regulations.
• 
  Creates and verifies backups of data
• 
  Where necessary, appear before third parties, including government offices, as the representative of the Company and/or its clients
• 
  Assists in the formulation, drafting and/or amendments of guidelines, policies, systems and procedures.
• 
  Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders, and effectively deal with external parties, e.g., regulators, external IT consultants, clients, suppliers, etc., and create relations of trust with them
• 
  Effectively handle ad hoc assignments

  Reports significant issues to management/client

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or any related field.
  
• Proven experience as an IT Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  
• Hands-on experience with server administration (e.g., Windows Server, Linux/Unix environments).
  
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems.
  
• Experience with network monitoring tools, diagnostics, and performance tuning.
  
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and backup/recovery processes.
  
• Understanding of cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  
• Knowledge of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and related regulations is plus.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  
• Willingness to learn continuously and stay updated with emerging technology.
