Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. The Janitor will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including custodial duties, floor care, and general maintenance.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct commercial cleaning tasks to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance.
• Assist with residential painting as needed to maintain facility aesthetics.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues to management.
• Carry out porter duties as required, including moving furniture or equipment for events or maintenance activities.
• Perform facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of the building's infrastructure.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing all cleaning duties.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation (e.g., buffing machines).
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving objects.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
