Janitor/Industrial Custodian

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Industrial Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment across our facility. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility.
• Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and applying appropriate floor care techniques to ensure durability and appearance.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning machinery areas, restrooms, break rooms, and storage spaces.
• Handle custodial responsibilities for both commercial and residential spaces, ensuring all environments are hygienic and presentable.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep to support overall building operations.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Support porter duties by moving supplies, furniture, or equipment as needed throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning tools and equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, bending, and reaching.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
