Japanese-Speaking Hair Stylist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Japanese-Speaking Hair Stylist to provide high-quality hair services while delivering excellent client experience to Japanese and local customers. The ideal candidate is proficient in hairstyling techniques, knowledgeable in hair care, and able to communicate effectively in Japanese.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional hair services including haircuts, coloring, treatments, styling, and basic hair care consultations
• Communicate clearly with Japanese-speaking clients to understand their preferences and needs
• Recommend suitable hairstyles, treatments, and products based on client requirements
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of workstations and tools
• Ensure compliance with salon standards, hygiene, and safety procedures
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business
• Assist with salon operations as needed, including scheduling and basic reporting

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken Japanese (conversational to fluent)
• Certified Hair Stylist (NC II or NC III preferred) or equivalent professional training
• At least 1–2 years of experience as a hair stylist (experience with Japanese clients is an advantage)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable in current hair trends, techniques, and products
• Willingness to undergo additional training, if required

Work Schedule
