Summary

We are seeking a motivated Lawyer to join our team in Riverview.

In this role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality legal services while gaining valuable experience in various areas of law. Build (or continue) a practice and your career in areas we already practice. We provide the flexibility and assistance to build a practice in other areas you may be interested in.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of case files.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their legal matters.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting our practice areas.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in active practice (in addition to your articling first year)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Manage family law files, including divorce, separation, cohabitation agreements, settlements, separation agreements, parenting time, support and division of property;
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and court materials;
  • Wills and estate work, real estate transactions, other areas of law you have an interest in;
  • Legal research
  • Court appearances, advising clients, managing files and scheduling
  • Already a member of the New Brunswick Bar in good standing ;
  • Have good judgment;
  • Must have a drivers licence.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in New Brunswick
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to advocate for clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong abilities in English. Bilingualism is not required

We offer flexibility and support.

A fee structure that includes the possibility of more annually based on a billed and collected fee structure as well as a regular base salary paid weekly.

Paid CLE's annually and paid time to attend.

The ability to build your practice in other areas you may wish to pursue.

Casual dress, free parking, 4 or 5 day work weeks , medical and dental plan, and more.

Location : Riverview/Moncton , New Brunswick.

We are looking for full time associates. Pay will be dependent on experience and other factors.
