Junior Commercial Property Management Accountant (Yardi Exp Preferred)

We are looking for an Accountant – Property Management to support our financial operations related to real estate. This role is ideal for professionals with at least 2 years of accounting experience who are eager to grow their expertise while working in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in recording financial transactions, including rent collections and vendor payments
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Process invoices and maintain accurate payment records
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor transactions
• Support the preparation of financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements)
• Utilize property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) for tracking and reporting
• Track and record property-related expenses for budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and maintain proper documentation
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting team

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Real estate accounting experience required
• CAM reconciliation experience preferred
• Knowledge of Yardi software preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
