Key Account Manager Sales Manager - Footwear

We are seeking to fill a Key Account manager position to help bring its two outdoor branded footwear divisions to the next level. Working as the Key Account Manager, this position will be responsible for fostering relationships, working with and selling all major accounts as well as collaborating with design on latest market trends and pricing strategies. This position offers the opportunity to be hands on with the product from inception to point of sale.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Constantly communicating with retailers to understand their need
  • Maintains excellent relationship with key accounts
  • Maintains a consistent frequency of in-store visitation to stay up to date on market trends
  • Make engaging sales presentations to all key accounts
  • Initiates, develops and sells new key accounts in keeping with the division’s distribution strategies.
  • Performing other duties as required/assigned by management.

Specific Job Skills:

  • Interpersonal interactions with design team and management
  • Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face-to-face and in-group settings
  • Strong presentation skills and ability working with a group in a fast paced environment
  • Strong understanding and experience with key accounts to include REI, DSG, Kohl's, DSW, Meijer, Fred Meyer, Shoe Dept. and influential independent retailers.
  • 5-10 years of sales and account management in the footwear industry
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of retail metrics
  • Proven ability to utilize analytics to improve sell-in and sell-thru performance
  • Understanding of performanceFootwear and Apparel retail landscape
  • Extremely motivated, a self-starter and able to work effectively in a team environment and independently; manage time and work against business deadlines.
  • Must know how to service all sales aspects of a national footwear brand in department stores.

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Sales Experience: 5 years (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
