About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Nutrition and Food Services team.

In this role you will be responsible for tasks such as:

  • Assisting the cooks prepare meals for our patients, cafes and Meals on Wheels recipients.
  • Weighing ingredients.
  • Sandwich making.
  • Serving meals on the trayline.
  • Pot washing & cleaning.

The position involves rostered shifts and duties, between 6:00 am and 8:30 pm. It may include weekends and public holidays.

About you

We are looking for people who:

  • Are extremely reliable and with a great attendance record.
  • Have the ability to work within a team.
  • Have a high standard of personal presentation.
  • Have flexibility and a positive attitude towards variable working hours.

Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or an eligible NZ work visa and be able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.

Food preparation experience and a food safety qualification are desirable but not essential. If you are reliable and are willing to learn, we will teach you the skills you need to do the job.
