Job description:

Product & Platform thinking

• Treat the design system as a product (not a project)

• Define clear value propositions for different users (designers, engineers, brands)

• Manage roadmap with trade-offs (stability vs. innovation vs. scalability)

• Understand platform dynamics (shared asset, multiple consumers, long lifecycle)

  Design System & UX Fluency

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Design tokens, components, patterns

  • Accessibility standards (WCAG)

  • Responsive and cross-platform behaviors

• Ability to challenge and support designers with system-first thinking

Engineering Awareness

• Solid grasp of:

• Frontend frameworks (e.g. React, native platforms)

• Component architecture and versioning

• CI/CD, documentation tooling, and APIs

Understand trade-offs in:

• Performance vs flexibility

• Reusability vs customization

Stakeholder Management & Influence

• Align Design, engineering, brand and product teams

• Manage competing needs, speed of delivery versus consistency

• Ensure system supports Brand consistency
