Laboratory Analyst

Company Background:

TE Laboratories (TelLab) are a science-based SME located in Tullow Co Carlow. The company operates a number of divisions which includes a number of accredited laboratories, chemical manufacture, environmental sensors, consultancy, training, events and an active R&D division.

Specialities:

Environmental and Drinking water analysis, Lubricating and Transformer Oil analysis, Fuel analysis, Marker Dye Production, Custom Laboratory analysis, Laboratory Chemicals and Reagents, Environmental Research and Development, FP7, H2020 and other International Collaborative projects.

Role Overview:

TE Laboratories are now seeking an Experienced Laboratory Analyst with a 3rd level qualification in Chemistry to join their team. The successful candidate will gain a vast array of experience working in our Environmental Laboratory. Thorough training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Chemical analysis of oil, water and soil samples using a wide range of instrumentation including GC, IC, HPLC,IC, ICP-MS and AAS.
  • Maintaining accuracy of results and calculations.
  • Scheduling of daily tasks.
  • Keeping the lab clean and organised, preserving samples at arrival and disposal of samples.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

Experience:

  • 3rd level Qualification in Chemistry is essential.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment is desirable.
  • Experience in method development and validation is desirable.
