Laundry Assistants - Commercial Laundry

We supply linen to commercial hospitality organisations throughout the Queenstown Lakes. Laundry Assistants will be receiving & processing laundry items. 30+ hours per week, $25-$27/ hour

Laundry Assistants; sort, cleans, irons, folds and packages linen and other garments in our commercial laundry. Work as a team player of the daily operation, including, maintaining quality standards, time frames and optimal operation of the machinery used to wash, dry and press items brought into the laundry to be cleaned.

Includes;

• Checking items before washing for damage or stains;

• Using water and chemicals to remove stains before processing

• Sorting items according to color, size type of fabric;

• Loading & unloading items into machines & setting the washing program and setting controls.

• Delivering laundered items back to the customer, loading unloading & prepariig delivieries.

Responsible for the general cleaning and orderly work area, cleans filters on driers as directed; Wiping down cleaning and organizing benches and machines inside and outside; vacuum, sweep & mop floors;

Attendants must be able to lift up to 20 kilos of laundry and push heavy bags, maintain and update the records of the laundry belongings. Drivers license is an advantage. No previous experience required, full training given.
