Duties

• Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to maintain healthy and attractive lawns and landscapes
• Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, fertilizing, weed control, and soil preparation
• Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and spades for various gardening and landscaping projects
• Assist with irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
• Support tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth
• Prepare sites for hardscape projects including patios or walkways by excavating and leveling surfaces with excavators or manual tools
• Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients
• Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with team members on landscape design projects involving horticulture principles and garden aesthetics

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools and landscaping equipment
• Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or gardening preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes
• Knowledge of horticulture practices including plant care, fertilization, pest management, and soil health
• Ability to operate larger machinery like excavators or snow plows is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
