Job type: Full-time, temporary
Pay range: $62,000 - $75,000 per year

We’re looking for a Lead Photographer to join our Creative team based in our Chester office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Manager of Content & Marketing Services. This is a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension to 18 months.
Job Overview: We are looking for an individual with the ability to leverage their own style and creativity to create premium chocolatier quality photos that follow our brand and style guidelines. This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual experienced in commercial and product/food photography to work in a creative and high-volume environment.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Deliver photography for many Purdys Chocolatier requirements, (including Email, Ecommerce, Digital Ads, Print Catalogues, In-store Signage, Social Media, PR Packages, Corporate Events and more)
- Develop ideas fitting the creative and technical needs of each project, within given Art Direction and layouts, and within Purdys Chocolatier Creative Guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, digital, and product—and participate in constructive feedback and open dialogue.
- Source and organize Purdys Chocolatier product as well as props and set pieces for photography
- Use professional lighting techniques and equipment (including constant light, strobe and natural light), and professional camera equipment with capture software (Lightroom/Capture One) to consistently deliver high-quality results
- Use professional editing software (Photoshop/Premiere) to delivery premium finished images and video
- At least 5 years of experience as a full-time photographer in an e-commerce photography environment
- A creative eye with attention to brand and storytelling
- Solid understanding of lighting, composition and post-production
- Extensive experience with food photography and food styling
- Extensive experience producing photography for a premium, high-quality brand
- Proficiency in editing software including Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in photography or a related field
- Video production and editing experience is an asset
- Art Direction / Creative Direction experience is an asset
