Expecience:
- Previous experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in real estate law
Responsibilities:
- Aid in reviewing and preparing legal documents related to real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, conveyancing documents, mortgages, affidavits, and closing documents
- Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, real estate agents, mortgagees, and other stakeholders involved in real estate transactions
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems for legal documents and correspondence
- Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate government agencies and courts
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone calls
- Perform financial data entry and maintain accurate records
- Treat client matters with discretion to protect client privacy and uphold the integrity of the legal profession
Skills:
- Strong legal drafting skills to assist with the preparation of legal documents
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures related to real estate transactions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in clerical tasks such as filing, organizing, and maintaining documents
- Project management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and PCLaw or other bookkeeping software
- Accurate and efficient data entry abilities to maintain precise records
- Excellent organizational skills to manage files, documents, and schedules effectively
- Attention to detail for proofreading legal documents for errors or inconsistencies

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
