Job Responsibilities
- Advising on general compliance by the Company with applicable laws and regulations – with particular emphasis on the Companies Act 1967 and the Casino Control Act 2006;
- Advising on legal and regulatory compliance issues for matters related to the Company’s businesses, including but not limited to gaming operations and non-gaming operations (e.g., hotel, MICE, mall, food and beverage, and attractions operations etc.);
- Liaising with regulators and enforcement agencies with oversight of the Company and/or the matters related to the Company’s businesses and managing requests, inquiries, investigations etc.;
- Negotiating and drafting agreements for the Company in respect of various areas of the Company’s business, including but not limited to procurement contracts for goods and/or services for both gaming and non-gaming operations of the Company
- Drafting and reviewing correspondence, policies, SOPs, forms and templates for use by the Company in operations to address potential areas of legal and/or regulatory concerns;
- Managing and resolving legal issues, including legal disputes and litigation proceedings for the Company;
- Preparing training materials and conducting training on legal and regulatory compliance related matters for Company personnel for risk management purposes.
- Any other matters as the company may require.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- LLB degree
- Qualified Persons as defined in the Legal Profession (qualified Persons) Rules
Experience
- 2-3 years PQE
Prerequisites
- Strong communication and drafting skills in English
- Litigation experience preferred
