Legal Internship

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated 3L law student to join our team as a Law Clerk / Legal Intern beginning Fall/Winter 2025. The ideal candidate will be in good academic standing, demonstrate dedication in their studies, and have a strong interest in health law. This role offers direct exposure to health law, compliance, contracts, and business law issues, with opportunities to work closely alongside attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on health law, corporate, and regulatory issues.
• Draft and review contracts, memoranda, compliance documents, and client communications.
• Assist attorneys with healthcare startup and business law projects, including entity formation, licensing, and operational compliance.
• Support regulatory and compliance reviews under state and federal health laws.
• Summarize statutes, regulations, and case law for attorney use.
• Participate in team discussions and, where appropriate, client-facing projects.

Qualifications

• Current 3L student at an accredited law school, in good academic standing, with a proven commitment to academic excellence and dedication in studies.
• Strong interest in health law (coursework, internships, or extracurricular experience preferred).
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis, or equivalent).
• Current GPA must be included in your resume or cover letter.

Compensation

• $18-24 per hour, based on experience (BOE).
• Applicants are expected to review the pay range prior to applying.
• Preferences to people who can work onsite and interested in taking Texas Bar
