Level 2 Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PART TIME Level II Dental Assistant to support our restorative dentist in delivering high-quality general dental care. The successful candidate will assist during a variety of restorative procedures, help ensure efficient patient flow, and maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards. This role requires strong clinical assisting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assisting

• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during restorative and general dentistry procedures (including fillings, crowns, bridges, and other treatments).
• Prepare and organize treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Anticipate the dentist’s needs during procedures to ensure efficient workflow.
• Take dental radiographs in accordance with regulatory standards
• Maintain clear and accurate clinical notes and assist with charting as required.

Patient Care

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.

Sterilization & Infection Control

• Follow all infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain sterilization logs.
• Manage instrument turnover between patients to ensure efficient clinic flow.
• Ensure treatment rooms are properly cleaned and disinfected.
