MTY is looking for a Litigation lawyer who is a self-driven, organized, multi-tasker who can assist the company with its commercial litigation files in the province of Ontario. The current legal team includes ten lawyers and ten legal technicians. MTY’s litigation work mostly falls within the fields of commercial leasing, franchise contract disputes, insolvency proceedings and commercial contract disputes.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Representing the client before the courts, including trials.
• Communicating with internal clients to define objectives and strategy.
• Preparing and analyzing evidence.
• Drafting and reviewing various legal proceedings.
• Conducting legal research.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Member of the Ontario Bar Association.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Member of the Law Society of Alberta considered an asset.
