Job Summary
Stratford Glass & Lock is seeking a locksmith to join our growing company. We are a fully licensed and bonded company based in Stratford Ontario. We provide a range of services, from commercial to residential, and full door and frame installations through out Southwestern Ontario. You will work independently and as part of a small team responding to customer requests and completing service calls at various locations. The successful incumbent will be provided will have access to company vehicle, and tools. The right candidate will have a minimum of 2 years locksmith experience

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks and locking mechanisms for residential and commercial applications.
• Respond to emergency lockout situations promptly and efficiently.
• Cut keys and create duplicates using specialized equipment.
• Install keypad locks and electronic access control systems
• Install door automation and troubleshoot automatic door operators
• Assess security needs and recommend appropriate locking solutions to clients.
• Install various types of hollow metal doors and frames.
• Keep accurate records of services performed and inventory of keys and locks.
• Stay updated on the latest locksmithing techniques, tools, and technologies.
• Will be trained on various glass works as well from cutting custom orders, thermal window installs and assistance where needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Locksmith with 2 minimum 2 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of lock types, key cutting techniques, and security systems.
• Experience with automatic door operators installation and service.
• Ability to troubleshoot lock-related issues effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy equipment as needed.
• Valid G driver's license may be required for mobile locksmith services.
• Must be bondable and insurable.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
• Certification or training in locksmithing is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
