Locksmith Apprentice

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Locksmith Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to learn the trade of locksmithing under the guidance of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong willingness to learn, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and have an interest in working with various locking mechanisms and security systems.

Duties

• Assist experienced locksmiths in installing, repairing, and maintaining locks and security systems.
• Learn to use tools and equipment such as key cutting machines, drills, and ohmmeters.
• Support the team in responding to service calls for lockouts, rekeying, and lock repairs and installation
• Observe and participate in the process of diagnosing lock issues and providing effective solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in learning about locksmithing and security systems.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with a willingness to develop technical skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with using basic hand tools; experience with an ohmmeter is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
