Looking For Experienced Sushi Chefs

Established in 2022, Wa Sushi & Izakaya is a fast-growing family-owned Japanese restaurant in Alhambra, CA. We are specialized in sushi, sashimi, fusion rolls, grilled yakitori, and other Asian cuisine. We are looking for experienced sushi chefs who may be working directly at Wa Sushi in Alhambra or a new second location in San Gabriel Valley. s.

Sushi Chefs:

• Must have integrityand honesty to be a great team player in group settings.
• Being able to engage with customers and other co-workers at work.
• Punctual with time and detail-oriented
• Expertly cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish.
• Inspecting the quality of ingredients used to prepare sushi dishes; being able to say no when dish isn't presentable to dining customers.
• Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Maintaining a clean work environment in order to prevent food contamination.
• Regularly taking inventory of food supplies and other products.
• Sterilizing all utensils, instruments, and equipment used in sushi preparation before every use.
• Communicating with wait staff to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met.
• Minimum +5 years of experience required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
