About Singapore Global NetworkSingapore Global Network (SGN) is a division under EDB that manages a 220,000-strong international community comprising family, friends and fans of Singapore. At SGN, we are passionate about building connections and creating opportunities for both people and businesses. We aim to grow Singapore’s overseas networks by building meaningful relationships and communities among Singaporeans, global talent, entrepreneurs, students and partners across the globe.
[What you will be working on]
As part of the Digital Experience team, you will play an active role in shaping the overall experience of network members – from first discovery, to joining the network, sustaining engagement, contribution and advocacy. Working in close partnership with internal stakeholders, members, community leaders, and institutional partners, you will drive SGN’s digital experience and engagement efforts by co-developing digital offerings, online content, programmes and campaigns to engage members and create opportunities for meaningful interactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define the digital engagement journeys for each member segment to identify opportunities to create meaningful interactions and deliver positive experiences for members.
- Establish the digital product roadmap to guide development of offerings to engage members and grow communities.
- Hands-on planning, execution and evaluation of digital engagement strategies and tactics to drive digital community growth, engagement, and member retention.
- Identify and secure partnerships with institutional partners and community groups to offer SGN’s platforms and offerings as a means for them to further grow their communities.
- Curate a calendar of community-specific content that addresses member needs, entertains, informs, and inspires. This includes working with the community to develop user-generated content and community resources. This could range from webinars, podcasts, e-newsletters, skills development resources, mentorship matchmaking, ambassador programmes, etc.
- Cultivate close relationships with community leaders and develop recognition and incentivisation initiatives to grow a pool of highly engaged members, advocates and key opinion leaders who can be tapped on as contributors and connectors for the network.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to co-develop SGN’s digital platforms that would support community building efforts and empower community leaders with the tools to manage their communities more effectively.
- Build a positive SGN community experience through creative brand initiatives and engagement campaigns. This includes giveaway campaigns, welcome experiences for members, onboarding journey for partners, and community guidelines to help shape an overall inclusive and supportive community culture.
- Be the friendly face of SGN among its digital communities to network with members and community leaders, moderate forums, help in addressing queries and facilitate connections where needed.
- Adopt a data and user insights-driven approach in testing, validating and iterating on new product ideas. Obtain feedback, distil learnings, and provide recommendations for optimisation of digital engagement efforts.
[What we are looking for]
- We are looking for a people-oriented and digital-savvy community builder or community manager who has a passion for bringing people together and growing vibrant inclusive communities.
- The ideal candidate should have at least 2 – 4 years of hands-on experience in starting communities, developing content, and launching community programmes, with a focus on digital engagement and initiatives.
- Well-read and comfortable engaging communities across a wide range of topics, from current affairs, to entrepreneurship, talent, innovation, Southeast Asia, lifestyle, and culture, to name a few.
- Collaborative team player with good people and communication skills.
- Self-starter who works well with change and ambiguity. Possesses a growth hacking mindset and a strong sense of ownership over deliverables, timelines, and outcomes.
- Open to constant learning and experimentation and is creative in bringing new ideas to the table.
