The Book Haven is currently recruiting for a part-time (approximately 22.5 hours/week) Managing Shop Assistant/Bookseller to work in our Sutton branch.
You must be outgoing, have a love of reading and be a fluent English speaker. You will enjoy delivering great customer service and be dedicated to promoting and delivering the Company's visions and values. This role involves selling, merchandising, stock management and purchasing. The position is varied and challenging and offers the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to further an exciting career in retail bookselling.

Your primary responsibilities:

• Deal efficiently with customer queries and special orders
• Deliver excellent standards of display and ensure that your store is beautifully presented at all times.
• Stock management, goods inwards and purchasing duties.
• Cashier duties including cash reconciliation and strict adherence to cash procedures.
• Key holder responsibilities.

What we are looking for:

• A fluent English speaker with minimum of 2 years retail experience.
• Exceptional customer service and selling skills.
• An enthusiastic manner and customer focused attitude.
• An enthusiastic self starter and a dedicated team player.
• Strong EPOS knowledge and computer skills.
• An excellent general literary knowledge plus broad product knowledge across a diverse range of categories is essential to this role.

It is a part-time position and the candidate must be available both mornings and afternoons. The position is approximately 22.5 hours a week. Apply with CV and cover letter.
