About QBE
At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.
We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.
QBE Europe SA/NV is headquartered in Brussels and while we are international in our outlook, we are also proudly local in our operations with Nordic offices in Stockholm and Copenhagen.
What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.

Your New Role
In this role, you will:
  • Take ownership of underwriting Marine business across the Nordics, balancing commercial judgement with regulatory and risk discipline
  • Play an active role in shaping and delivering the Nordic underwriting strategy as the portfolio continues to grow
  • Use reinsurance solutions to protect performance and support a sustainable, well-balanced book
  • Build trusted relationships with brokers, clients, and internal partners across the region
  • Collaborate with colleagues across QBE to share insight, ideas, and best practice
  • Act as an ambassador for QBE’s Marine proposition in the Nordic market
  • Keep your technical expertise and market knowledge current as the Marine landscape evolves
  • Maintain high standards of risk recording, governance, and compliance throughout the underwriting lifecycle

About You
  • Experience in Marine Cargo insurance, gained in an underwriting or brokerage environment
  • A structured, detail focused approach, with confidence handling complex risks
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to communicate clearly with brokers and stakeholders
  • Comfortable negotiating and making balanced commercial decisions
  • An interest in developing your technical expertise and market understanding over time
  • Professional fluency in English, with Danish or Swedish language skills
Benefits
We offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances. As a QBE employee you will have access to and benefit from:
  • Hybrid working, combining home and office to support work/life balance
  • Life Leave, supporting key life events beyond annual leave
