Marketing Intern

Introduction
We are looking for a Marketing Intern to support SPHERICAL's growing commercial and brand activities. This is a part-time, hands-on role where you will work closely with the commercial team to help shape how we position ourselves in the space and semiconductor industry.
You will contribute to content creation, market research, and outreach initiatives, helping translate complex technical work into clear and compelling messaging. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both deep-tech innovation and commercial strategy in a fast-growing space company.

SPHERICAL is at the forefront of transforming semiconductor chip design for the space industry. By applying agile techniques and model-based engineering, we are significantly increasing engineering productivity. Our mission is to create high-quality electronics tailored for the space sector, with ambitious plans for future expansion.

About the Role
As a Marketing Intern, you will support the development and execution of SPHERICAL's marketing and communication activities. You will work across multiple areas, including LinkedIn content, conference preparation, market analysis, and messaging.
You will collaborate closely with the commercial team and report directly to Conor Sutherland, gaining direct exposure to how a deep-tech startup builds its commercial presence.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious, proactive, and interested in both technology and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the creation of LinkedIn posts, website content, and marketing materials
• Assist in preparing content and messaging for conferences and events
• Conduct market and competitor research across the space and semiconductor sectors
• Help refine SPHERICAL's positioning, messaging, and value propositions
• Support outreach efforts, including drafting follow-ups and communication materials
• Assist in maintaining and improving internal marketing documents and content libraries
• Contribute ideas to improve brand visibility and engagement

Key Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Interest in space, technology, or startups
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
• Ability to simplify complex topics into clear messaging
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and basic content creation is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Reporting to Conor Sutherland
Compensation: €500 per month
Travel expenses covered for all work-related travel
