We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our fast-paced Pahiatua site where you’ll be a key member of our high performing Maintenance Team.
With a focus on Health and Safety and maintenance best practice, you’ll use your sound mechanical experience to navigate changing work priorities and implement scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure our site performs at its peak each day.
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you’ll be responsible for mechanical maintenance services across our manufacturing lines, providing support by maintaining all machinery in alignment with our asset care plans and strategies. You’ll also use your problem-solving skills to effectively fault find and repair breakdowns with confidence.
This is a permanent day shift opportunity with an on-call roster averaging around a one in six week on call pattern. There may also be the requirement to support our Longburn site.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate (Level 4 or higher) or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude with hands on fitter experience
- Exceptional fault finding and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside of the box
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as a team and independently
- Tech savvy and computer literacy skills, ideally with knowledge of a CMMS such as SAP
- Previous experience within an FMCG / food manufacturing or similar environment would be beneficial
