Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Coding Intern. As a Medical Coding Intern, you will play a vital role in accurately translating medical procedures, diagnoses, and services into standardized codes for billing and insurance purposes. This internship opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience in medical coding while working closely with experienced professionals in the field.

To succeed in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of coding software, insurance policies, and specialties. The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as communicating with clients and various insurances will form a large part of the job.

Responsibilities:

• Basic coding knowledge: Possess a fundamental understanding of medical coding principles, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office apps: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications to effectively manage and organize coding-related documents and data.
• Familiarity with insurance claims: Understanding of insurance claim processes, including knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement policies.
• Lab technologist: Prior experience or degree in healthcare or lab and terminology would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with DX codes: Familiarity with Diagnostic (DX) codes and their application in coding procedures.
• Medical terminologies: A strong grasp of medical terminologies and their significance in accurately assigning codes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Lab, or a relevant field.
• Solid understanding of coding software.
• Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rs30,000.00 - Rs45,000.00 per month
