Medical Receptionist

A well known clinic with General Practice and Allied Health and support services based in Craigieburn, Victoria is seeking a medical receptionist for the clinic.

The position is available for immediate start and is suited to experienced capable medical receptionists that thrive to work in a professional manner and within a friendly team environment.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Meeting and greeting patients and ensuring the smooth flow of patients in the waiting room.
• Answering telephone, attending to patient calls and enquires, responding to emails and correspondences and making appointments
• Booking and adjusting medical appointments appropriately
• Invoicing and receipting private billings
• Processing patient claims
• Medicare billing
• Medicare batching and exceptions
• Scanning mail and allocating
• Ensuring a friendly and professional service is provided to patients
• General front desk/ reception duties
• Assisting Doctors and Nurses with their general administrative duties
• Ensuring that the medical centre is maintained in a clean tidy and presentable manner.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in Medical Receptionist Role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a pleasant telephone manners.
• Professional, punctual, and flexible
• knowledge of Accreditation Setup and Audit requirements and ability to participate
• Working experience of Best Practice Software, Hot Doc and other practice software used by a medical clinic
• Ability to adapt to new tasks and fluctuating time pressures.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $20.69 – $30.03 per hour
