What you’ll be doing!

Based in the US, the Medical Writer position at AROA is an integral part of the Medical Affairs team. It’s your role to communicate complex medical and scientific information to clinicians and to the general public. As part of our publication planning process, you will be creating and coordinating the review of clinical study reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts from our various research activities. We also have a great Sales & Marketing team who you will be working closely alongside to create and develop engaging medical content across a variety of platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Research, create, write and edit medical and scientific material that adhere to regulatory standards
• Conduct regular literature reviews and summarize key findings
• Translate clinical data into study reports, publications, abstracts, presentations, and posters
• Manage publication planning, review, and submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals
• Ensure publications meet ICMJE, GPP, and appropriate reporting standards
• Analyse data and translate complex concepts into understandable language
Be familiar with all regulatory changes to ensure documentation meets industry standards

What you’ll bring!

• A Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine or related field; advanced or medical degree preferred (M.S., Ph.D., M.D.)
• 5 years’ experience as a medical writer, including submitting manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals
• Experience designing visually-appealing figures for research studies
• High proficiency in medical & scientific terminology and scientific writing
• Familiarity with ICMJE and GPP guidelines
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
• Strong ability to translate complex medical data accurately and clearly
• Exceptional communication skills in written and verbal form
• The ability to write with the end-user in mind whilst retaining the integrity of the technical information being provided
• Have the proven ability to manage multiple projects
