Job Description

We are a growing manufacturer seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team in Liverpool. We are recognised for our focus on innovation, quality and efficient operations. As we grow, we are seeking a passionate Metal Fabricator to service a range of production machinery across multiple sites in Sydney, helping to maintain performance and minimise downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications to understand fabrication requirements
• Select, prepare and clean metal materials prior to fabrication
• Cut metal sections and components using hand tools, cutting equipment and machinery
• Form, bend and shape metal components and piping using manual and mechanical tools
• Accurately set up and align components using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Check completed welds to confirm they meet required strength, precision and quality standards
• Complete fabricated pieces by cleaning, refining and polishing surfaces
• Prepare and finish welds by grinding, filing and dressing to meet specified tolerances
• Assemble metal parts using welding, bolting and riveting methods

Qualifications & Skills:

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu
• 1 year of work experience required
• Strong metal fabrication and welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality outcomes
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safe work procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
