Job Description
As a Microsoft Exchange Server Hands-on Support Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team managing enterprise-scale messaging infrastructure for our clients. You'll leverage your expertise in Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory to ensure seamless operations across multi-site data centres, while driving automation and innovation to solve complex technical challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and make a tangible impact on mission-critical systems.
What will you do?
System Administration & Maintenance · Manage Enterprise Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory environments to ensure data integrity, performance, and accessibility · Implement and maintain Account and Access Management via GPO Policies · Execute backup management, vulnerability and patch management, and inventory processes · Perform day-to-day capacity planning and review performance and statistical logs
Automation & Infrastructure Development · Build software and systems to manage infrastructure and applications through automation · Develop and maintain scripts using Shell, Bash, and Python to streamline operations · Improve system monitoring and alerting to reduce incident resolution time and minimize false positives · Enhance system logging and benchmarking to optimize application infrastructure performance
Project Management & Implementation · Assess and implement service requests and change requests · Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and platform maintenance activities · Analyze, test, patch, and implement changes of broad scope, high complexity, and long duration · Document configurations, changes, issues, and technical diagrams for supported systems
Technical Design & Problem Solving Investigate and resolve complex and unusual technical problems · Measure and optimize system performance and capacity for Enterprise Email Systems · Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions to advance capabilities · Collaborate with engineering and application development teams to improve system performance through environment upgrades
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role managing multi-site data centres with at least 5,000 mailboxes
- Strong scripting experience in Shell, Bash, and Python
- Proven track record in building software and systems for infrastructure and application automation
- Superior technical operation skills in Enterprise Windows Exchange and Active Directory
- Experience with ITIL processes including Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Configuration Management
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues
- Experience with Design Thinking and Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Self-motivated team player who demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and innovation
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines
