Mill Process Engineer
Role: Mill Process Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the company for a Mill Process Engineer.
This position is open to both internal and external applicants.
Reporting to the Head of Section Mill Process the Mill Process Engineer is responsible for managing and improving the mill process, supporting in operational process issues, initiating and carrying out projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • In line with applicable procedures conduct all duties in a way that promotes Boliden’s values and best practice relating to environmental, health, safety and quality performance.
  • Role model Boliden’s core values at all times and can demonstrate use of core values to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support mill production
  • Support mill laboratory
  • Provide training as required in process related areas
  • Planning and follow-up of development work
  • Initiate improvement activities
  • Contact person for technical department
  • Evaluation of measurement results
  • Participate in safety rounds
  • Production end economic reports (income calculations)
  • Concentrate stock planning and forecast
  • Other duties as determined by immediate supervisor
Experience and Qualifications:
  • A third level degree in Engineering or equivalent coupled with a minimum of 2 years experience in heavy industry processing is required.
  • Previous Project management experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge in automation would be beneficial.

Additional Info:
  • This role will be full time, Mon – Fri basis from 7.30am – 16.00pm.
  • There will be a degree of flexibility required as part of this role in line with operational requirements.
  • There will be some international travel involved as part of this role.
