New Product Development Assistant Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering course or a related field
• With minimum 5 years in product development, innovation, or manufacturing processes, with proven success in new product launches.
• Expertise in product costing, financial evaluation, and market research.
• Ability to assess project viability and strong knowledge in ERP systems.
• Skilled in managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating with marketing, supply chain, and external partners.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the overall New Product Development (NPD) operations, ensuring all duties and responsibilities are executed effectively.

2. Administer
and guide the NPD engineering team in structuring Engineering Bills of
Materials (EBOM) for accurate sales costing references.

3. Manage
all NPD projects to ensure timely completion within established schedules.

4. Coordinate
with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly and supervise regular
project meetings.

5. Review
and validate Approval Sheets prior to submission to maintain accuracy and
compliance.

6. Initiate
purchase requisitions for new tooling, equipment, and parts required for
engineering and production.

7. Provide
support to concerned departments in resolving technical and operational issues
to achieve organizational objectives.

8. Facilitate
training programs for newly hired or reassigned NPD Engineers, Assistants, and
Technicians to ensure competency and smooth integration.

9. Actively
participate in the design and development of tooling such as crimping dies,
mold dies, process jigs, and other specialized equipment.
