NPD & Technical Executive – Bray area.

Exciting, hands-on role for an experienced NPD & Technical Executive looking to advance their career within a dynamic, forward thinking and rapidly growing organic food brand. Our brand serves retail customers across Ireland, the UK and other international markets.

Role & Responsibilities

As part of this role, you will drive the development of food products from concept to launch, ensuring products align with market trends, food legislation and customer demands.

We are looking for somebody who is really creative and passionate about food to become a team member of the New Product Development Department in a fast-paced environment.

About You:

You will report directly to the NPD & Technical Manager and be part of a dedicated, ambitious and hard-working team. The role has a broad remit and will involve developing close working relationships across all areas of the business

So, we’d like you to have:

· Third Level Qualification in Food Science / Culinary Arts would be beneficial.

· 3 years + (preferred) in a similar role or food industry is an advantage.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (with good experience of excel and outlook)
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent organisation skills
  • High degree of attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to problem solve and to identify new ways of working/processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills

· Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

· Capable of learning and understanding new processes and ideas.

· Passionate about all thing’s food.

  • Fully fluent written and spoken English
  • Must be eligible to live and work in Ireland

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

Product Sampling: Identifying opportunities in the market and support preparation of product samples for customer presentations and feedback, ensuring they meet quality and specification standards.

Product Development: Driving product development activities e.g., project planning, timeline preparation, ensuring readiness for stage gate approval, together with project internal and external stakeholders, working closely with management, commercial and design teams

Sourcing Suppliers: Sourcing suppliers globally to deliver the highest quality products.

Quality Control: Ensure both brand and private label products are produced to specification on a continuous basis. Oversee routine due diligence testing requirements and action any non-conformances with supplier base.

Supplier Management: Assist in supplier onboarding in line with GFSI standards (knowledge of BRC, IFS, HACCP, retailer standards an advantage).

Specification Management: Take full ownership of internal and external specification management including retailer online specification systems.

Artwork Management: Take full ownership of artwork workflows, coordinating with customers, design teams, and printers to resolve technical queries.

NPD Project Coordination: Ensure timely progression of new product development and artwork, from initial briefing to file delivery at printers. Manage approvals and escalate issues as needed.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate the artwork process with internal teams and external partners, including design agencies and printers.

Technical Compliance: Develop products in line with legislation, codes of practice, and customer requirements. Maintaining technical specifications databases for the company and suppliers.

National and international travel required from time to time to attend meetings, food shows and events.
