Status: Part-time (24 hours per week), hourly, non-exempt.
Starting Salary: $26.00 per hour
Location: Denver, CO (Days/hours of work to be agreed upon between Spring Institute and employee. This is an in-office position; no remote work option.)

Role:
Spring Institute is seeking a qualified Office Administrator to provide administrative support to the overall organization, and Bookkeeping support to the Finance department. The Office Administrator will assist with financial tasks such as maintaining records, processing invoices and payments as needed, and reconciling accounts. The successful candidate must be able to manage a high volume workflow, and must have experience with data entry, data management, basic bookkeeping functions, and QuickBooks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Support to the Finance/HR Department (65%)
- Record all credit card activity into credit card payable accounts and reconcile credit card bills
- Accounts receivable: Enter invoices and receivables and record revenues, prepare and send monthly invoices for reimbursable grants, record invoiced receipts, monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and archive prior year’s files according to schedule
- Assist with onboarding process for new employees
- Download payroll job allocation calculations from payroll system and enter data in QuickBooks.
- Provide other Finance/HR support as needed
Administrative Support for General Operations (35%)
- Serve as receptionist/greeter
- Answer phone calls and monitor general email accounts
- Provide logistical support for events and onsite meetings
- Manage office supplies, recycling and asset inventory
- Manage and troubleshoot phone and copier operations
- Coordinate weekly Inside Spring (internal) report
- Provide other clerical and administrative support as requested
- Attend Spring Institute staff meetings and events
- Manage and maintain volunteer database
Education: BA in related field preferred, but not required
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has a strong belief in the mission of Spring Institute and the value of intercultural communications in empowering people, particularly vulnerable populations, to thrive in our community.
- At least one year of customer service, scheduling, administrative, or similar related experience
- At least one year of bookkeeping, accounting assistance, or office management
- One year of data entry or data management experience
- QuickBooks and Excel experience required
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and perform work in an organized, efficient and effective manner without constant supervision and direction
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications (experience with scheduling software preferred)
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Customer service-oriented
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
