The Organization for Immigrant Support and Economic Reintegration (OISER) is hiring motivated individuals to join our OISER Training & Internship Program (OTIP) — a first-of-its-kind workforce development program designed specifically for immigrants entering Canada’s real estate and construction industries.
Career Pathways
- Sales Stream: Sales Associate Intern > Sales Associate > Assistant Sales Manager > Sales Manager > Sales Director
- Site Operations Stream: Intern/Entry-Level Site Coordinator > Site Manager > Construction Director
Key Responsibilities
Sales & CX360™ Track
- Provide excellent customer service to homebuyers through every stage of the sales journey
- Apply negotiation, communication, and closing techniques in real estate sales
- Assist Sales Managers and builder partners with site visits, product presentations, and client meetings
- Build strong product knowledge (floor plans, features, pricing, financing options)
- Progress toward leadership roles in sales management
ConstructPro™ Track
- Support site teams with workflow, scheduling, and safety compliance
- Learn blueprint reading, material handling, and site coordinationMonitor construction progress and assist with quality checks
- Gain hands-on experience with modern building methods (stone, brick, hybrid builds)
- Develop toward supervisory and management positions in construction
Qualifications
- Immigrant, newcomer, PR, work permit holder, or citizen seeking career opportunities in Alberta
- Strong transferable skills in communication, teamwork, customer service, or coordination
- No prior Canadian experience required — full training and internship provided
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and open to industry learning
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, team-oriented environmentsInterest in sales and customer service OR construction and site operations (depending on chosen track)
Compensation
- During Internship: Stipend or entry-level support (varies by builder partner)
- Post-Internship:
- Sales Roles: $45,000–$55,000 annually plus commissions. Compensation typically increases to $60,000–$75,000 annually upon promotion to Area Sales Manager.
- Site Operations Roles: $42,000 – $60,000 annually depending on role and placement
