Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to join our procurement team. This role involves managing day-to-day purchasing operations with a focus on planning, buying, and optimizing supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in SAP, and experience in demand planning and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle high volumes of purchase orders (PO) across a mix of parts for direct procurement.
- Plan and execute weekly supply strategies to meet customer demand and minimize gaps.
- Optimize the procure-to-pay (P2P) process and create purchase order transactions in SAP.
- Manage procurement and repair activities, including expediting repair orders and improving supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain system master data and initiate changes based on material life cycles.
- Resolve supplier issues such as shipping delays, invoice discrepancies, and payment concerns.
- Track and improve key metrics like backlog, fill rate, inventory turnover, and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system enhancements and continuous improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Buyer, Planner, or similar procurement role (BPO experience preferred).
- Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and other procurement tools.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills in a matrix organization.
- Familiarity with reporting tools like Tableau or Business Objects is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $6,500.00 per month
