Do you love working with kids and making a positive impact in your community? YMCA Taranaki is looking for enthusiastic, caring, and bubbly Out of School Care Assistants to join our team on a casual basis. If you’re passionate about creating safe, fun, and engaging environments for children, we’d love to hear from you!

We provide before and after school care at local primary schools and at our YMCA Taranaki venue in New Plymouth, as well as exciting holiday programmes during school breaks.

What’s on Offer?

• Flexible, casual hours to fit around your lifestyle:
• Before School Care: 7:30 am – 8:30 am
• After School Care: 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm
• Holiday Programmes: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children
• A full driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
• Great communication skills and a team-player mindset
• Initiative and confidence to build strong relationships with families
• Passion and energy for child-focused care
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the role
• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
