Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Class 3/1 Truck Driver to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient transportation of waste and recyclable materials across PEI in a professional and safe manner. The position is based in Charlottetown, PE.
Responsibilities

• Operate various types of trucks including roll-off, overhead, side load garbage trucks, and dump trucks.
• Ensure timely collection and delivery of waste and recyclable materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, working hours, and vehicle maintenance.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies during operations.
• Assist with loading and unloading when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize routes and improve service efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 or 1 license with clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating heavy trucks and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy vehicle operation.
• Ability to perform basic automotive repairs is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with truck operation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 – 55 per week
