About Your Position:

We are looking for a professional painter to help us open up our wall prep services. This position offers the exciting opportunity of spearheading a new program alongside the Owner/CEO to develop a wall prep/prime and eventually a specialty painting division. We are looking for a professional that has experience, is a leader, and wants to grow with our team as our long standing company develops a diverse offering of services. Pay Range: $30-42/ hour

Job Duties:

• Read blueprints, material instructions and apply the proper products, as instructed, to the interior walls of high end homes and commercial buildings.
• Remove existing wallpaper from walls (to prepare the surface for new wallpaper by our other skilled installers).
• Prepare drywall surfaces for primer and apply paper/fiberglass mesh tape to cover drywall seams. Smooth walls by sanding taped seams to create a smooth surface before priming the wall/ceiling surface, as required. Walls will need to be smooth (Level IV or better) before being primed.
• Become familiar with different paint, primer, tape and prep materials required for wall and ceiling applications.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation.
• Work professionally with superintendents, foreman and other trades on different job sites.
