Paralegal - Trusts, Estates And Business Law

If you are a legal assistant or paralegal with experience in trust, estate and business law and are interested doing impactful work alongside our talented and progressive team of attorneys and support staff, our Paralegal role may be a good fit for you. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our busy Trust & Estate and Business Law practice. Your days will involve a dynamic mix of responsibilities where you will be instrumental in supporting our legal team and serving our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of estate planning and general business law principles and be proficient in drafting various legal documents. You will play a crucial role in supporting our team, managing client communications, and ensuring the smooth operation of our matters, working with a high degree of autonomy after initial onboarding.

This is a full-time, hybrid (4 days in office/1 day work from home) position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. A Day in the Life:

Your daily responsibilities will be a mixture of:

  • Drafting Legal Documents: You will regularly prepare and revise a variety of essential legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, contracts, corporate formation documents, and other business-related agreements, all under the supervision of an attorney.
  • Engaging in Client Intake & Communication: You will be a key point of contact for our clients, conducting initial intake interviews, gathering necessary information, and providing timely updates and answers to their inquiries.
  • Providing Case Management: Keeping our client matters organized is crucial, so you will be responsible for maintaining both physical and electronic client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, current, and easily accessible.
  • Conducting Legal Research: As needed, you will dive into legal research on estate, trust, and business law matters to provide essential support for our attorneys.
  • Calendaring & Meeting Deadlines: You will play a vital role in monitoring and managing important deadlines related to client matters and court filings, ensuring nothing is missed.
  • Providing Administrative Support: You will also provide general administrative support to the legal team, which includes scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and managing billing tasks.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Experienced in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of ethical considerations and client confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal practice management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on estate planning or business law.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,580.99 - $85,000.77 per year
