Park Jewellers Athlone Assistant Manager

Park Jewellers is an Irish‑owned jewellery retailer known for exceptional service, premium products and memorable in‑store experiences. We are seeking a driven, organised Assistant Store Manager to help lead our Athlone team and support overall store performance.

The Role

You will support the Store Manager in driving sales, leading the team and ensuring the store operates smoothly. You will take full responsibility for the store in the Manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Performance

· Monitor KPIs, sales figures and customer trends to drive results.

• Support store strategies to consistently achieve sales targets.
• Maintain premium visual merchandising and strong product knowledge.
• Coach the team to maximise selling opportunities.

Team Leadership

· Motivate and support a high‑performing team.

• Provide clear communication, feedback and on‑the‑floor coaching.
• Lead by example with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Customer Experience

· Deliver a warm, personal and luxury customer experience.

• Support the team in creating memorable customer moments.
• Handle escalated customer issues confidently and empathetically.

Store Operations

· Assist with rotas, stock control, till procedures and store security.

• Uphold opening/closing routines and high store standards.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and company policies.
• Plan staffing around trading patterns and peak periods.

About You

· Experience in a supervisory or management retail role (premium/jewellery experience is an advantage).

• Strong sales focus with proven ability to meet targets.
• Warm, professional customer‑service style.
• Confident people leader with excellent communication skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and adaptable.
• Interest in jewellery, fashion or premium products.
• Flexible for key trading periods.
