Experienced Dental Assistants
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and answer their questions with professionalism
- Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including infection control standards
- Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program
- Prior experience with Epic, Dentrix, or similar dental management software preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD imaging techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in a clinical support role is a plus
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or experience in CAD imaging is desirable but not required
