Sales Associate

Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring that every customer has an exceptional experience by suggesting the right products and services necessary to complete their projects. A passion for service and a willingness to develop product knowledge are key components of this role.

• Capable of lifting weight upwards of 25 lbs, bending and twisting and standing for long periods of time;
• Comply with policies and procedures regarding loss prevention, breakage of goods and health and safety;
• Keep the work area neat and tidy;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure that every customer experience exceeds the customer’s expectation;
• Proactively provide Home Hardware customers with expertise and assistance;
• As per the customer’s request, mix paint cans, copy or make color corrections;
• Increase product knowledge and provide advice for customers and appropriate products;
• Stock shelves and ensure store standards are maintained;
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately;
• Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and security;
• Other related responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
• Inform customers of current promotions

This position reports to the General Manager, Contractor Sales Manager & Key Holder.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
