Part-Time Sports Coach
Pay: €15 – €18.50 per hour (depending on experience)Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1:30 PM – 3:45 PM | 11–15 hours per week. Start Date: ASAP Location: South Dublin

About Us
Active Sport Ireland is a leading multi-sport provider offering after-school programmes and holiday camps for children aged 4–12. We focus on developing physical literacy through fun, inclusive activities that build confidence, resilience, and social skills. As we continue to grow, we offer opportunities to expand into areas such as PE delivery, sales, marketing, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare: Review session plans in advance, attend weekly team meetings, and collect all necessary equipment before each session.
- Session Delivery: Travel to a different school daily, arriving early to follow child collection procedures and set up for the session.
- Lead Coaching Sessions: Deliver high-energy, structured multi-sport sessions introducing children to 10+ sports, focusing on developing Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS).
- Support Child Development by adapting activities for different ability levels, promoting inclusion, and creating a safe, supportive environment where every child feels welcome.
- Positive Behaviour & Recognition: Promote sports values like teamwork and effort, and award a "Star of the Day" to recognise positive behaviour and progress.
- Communication & Reporting: Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and colleagues: complete attendance reports, incident reports, and end-of-day handovers.
- Health & Safety: Provide basic First Aid if required and follow safeguarding procedures to ensure child safety and well-being.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 years experience coaching or working with children aged 4–12.
- Full driving licence or easy access to Shankill and Dundrum.
- Recognised coaching qualification (NGB or third-level in sport).
- Energetic, reliable, and confident in leading group activities.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and professional.
- Garda Vetting clearance and two references required.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Safeguarding training certification.
- First Aid qualification.
