Payroll Specialist

• Process data entry for multi-state payroll for more than 2500 employees under strict deadlines while ensuring all entries and system outputs follow local, state and federal laws.
• Handling employee and business partner queries (HR, Finance, Tax)
• Analyze and process off-cycle pay, special payments, adjustments, and reversals.
• Manual garnishment calculations and maintenance.
• Compile and distribute Certified Payroll reporting.
• Assist with monthly journal entries for payroll expense and accruals and assist with month-end analysis and adjusting journal entries.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and general accounting software and have strong typing/data entry skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• 
  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role, preferably within a large organization.

• • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar systems).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
