We are seeking a qualified accountant that specialises in financial planning and analysis. This individual will join our team playing a critical role in driving financial insight and supporting strategic decision-making across multiple jurisdictions across Europe and UK.

The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and business partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve margins and overall business performance.

This position is suited to a commercially minded professional with strong analytical capability and the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payrolls for Ireland and the UK, in compliance with relevant legislation, Revenue/HMRC requirements, and internal policies.
  • Support Payroll Manager in preparation of monthly outsourced European payrolls information.
  • Sick Pay Schemes: Administer statutory and company sick pay schemes in line with Irish and UK legislation. Track and record employee sick leave, ensuring correct entitlements and deductions. Liaise with HR and managers to ensure accurate documentation and communication.
  • Pension Schemes: Manage pension contributions for Irish and UK pension schemes. Ensure timely submission of pension data to providers and compliance with pension regulations. Support employees with pension-related queries and coordinate with pension providers.
  • Employee Queries: Respond to payroll-related questions including payslips, tax deductions, leave entitlements, and benefits.
  • Reporting: Prepare payroll reports for Finance and HR, including score cards, headcount, and audit support reports.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records including salary changes, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Payroll Manager, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Filling in social welfare forms, salary confirmation requests from banks, SUSI grants, loss of earnings forms, SSP1, SPP1, SMP1 for UK.

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Irish and UK payroll legislation, including sick pay, statutory payments and pension regulations.
  • Experience with payroll software.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel for reporting and reconciliation.
