About the Role
Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is seeking scheduling support for Women, Child & Family service. This position is part-time, 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday and is based at Tauranga Hospital.
This position is a key administrative role within the hospital, responsible for managing and co-ordinating patient appointments and maintaining accurate waitlists. This position serves as a liaison between patients, senior medical staff and the hospital to contribute to the delivery of excellent scheduling and administration services for people receiving Obstetric & Midwifery Care.
This role requires a high level of flexibility as it will be providing support across the planned care scheduling team as required. Attention to detail, a high level of initiative, good organisational and communication skills are key components to the role.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Women, Child & Family service is a large service which covers midwifery, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics, maternity and newborn hearing. We work closely alongside each other, with midwives, senior medical officers, resident medical officers, admin staff and patients.
The immediate team works Monday to Friday, between 7:30am until 5:30pm. You will work alongside a team of administrators and schedulers in the shared office space in Tauranga Hospital.

About you
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Excellent time management skills and high attention to detail
- Patient information systems and medical terminology knowledge
- Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
Due to the demands of this position, there will be a requirement for you to act quickly, efficiently and decisively.
